The Old Stevens 200 Stock Versus the New

223 Rem (top) is the older design and 243 Win (bottom) the new version

The first Stevens 200 stocks were gray - like the present run - but had a slightly wider forestock. If you look closely at the picture showing both rifles, you can see a difference around the magazine area too. All new rifles come with a single stack, blind magazine instead of the staggered type. This was done to eliminate feed problems that occurred when the Stevens 200 was initially released.

The scope is very inexpensive! This is one of two I bought online for $80 - shipped to my door. Yes, they're cheapies! I did use the second scope for a year on a 222 Remington. Both will replaced when I finish testing some home made bullets made from 22 RF cases.
